The Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) is a federally-sponsored high school program that educates and trains students to develop a leadership mentality, attention to detail, and problem-solving skill set. This program can be found in hundreds of high schools throughout the United States. Troy's NJROTC program helps benefit the school, the community, and most importantly, the cadets.
Troy High School’s NJROTC program takes pride in its many accomplishments, including:
Beating over 600 other programs in the nation to be ranked the best Navy JROTC program in the nation in 2009 and 2nd best in the nation in 2022.
2022-23 Distinguished Unit for the 23rd consecutive years.
The only Honor NJROTC program in the nation with top-notch unit competing in and winning multiple national competitions.
Boasting over 300 cadets, qualifying as the biggest NJROTC program in California and one of the biggest programs in the nation.
Recruiting over a hundred freshmen each year.
Offering multiple fun and resourceful opportunities to the cadets, including the chance to join numerous competitive teams and obtain community hours through community service events.
