All-female color guard
Led by c/CMDR Esther Yang, this group of women stands in front of prestigious and honorable audiences, proudly presenting our nation’s flags and representing Unit Troy. This group of cadets attends special events that feature female veterans, empowering future female cadets to be inspired and experience first-hand the presence of female leaders of our country who display honor, courage, and commitment.
“In the past, inequality and other obstacles have undermined women’s acts of patriotism and service. However, women are just as qualified and should be given the same opportunity to serve. Since we have many female cadets in our program that are willing to service, TROY NJROTC decided to form their own All-Female Color Guard team.”
